Terrell Stanley
Chicago-bred, Terrell Stanley is an award-winning Strategist and Creative Director.
Terrell graduated from the University of Missouri’s Strategic Communications program housed in the School of Journalism. There, obtained a minor in African American Studies, and was a part of the Legion of Black Collegians (LBC) and the Big XII Council on Black Student Government where he most notably served as Communications Chair and Vice Chair, respectively. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the 4A’s Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP) as an Edelman Fellow and the Creative Collective NYC’s social team as a Digital Fellow. k
As a Community Manager for Energy BBDO and their client Champion, Terrell utilized strategic content planning and nuanced tone-of-voice work to engage diverse audiences and create viral organic moments. Already having collaborations with Complex, Coach, Stranger Things, and more under his belt, his team’s work on “Reverse Renegade,” a celebratory campaign for TikTok’s Jalaiaha Harmon, recently won major awards from Cannes, The One Club for Creativity, and D&AD.
He then transitioned into freelance strategy, providing services for Pandora, Martell, Aurora James’ Fifteen Percent Pledge, DeAndre “the Corporate Baddie” Brown, and Chicago Access Network Television’s (CAN TV) “The Table: On Air” by leveraging the power of intentional relationship management. Presently, Terrell is participating in Soho House and Creative Futures Collective’s (CFC) coveted Chicago Mentorship Program and recently soft-launched Garden Grown, a social media consultancy focused on bridging the gap between influence and ownership.
Outside of work, Terrell is a performance vocalist and photographer with credits on SHOWTIME’s “The Chi.
